Using Chess4U
Chess4U is operated by Boda Dev Team. These terms cover your use of the website, including games, accounts, player profiles, and community features. By using Chess4U, you agree to these terms. Use the service only where permitted by the laws that apply to you.
Your account
You can play as a guest or create an account with an email address and password. New accounts receive a player name, which you can change in Account settings. Use an email address you control and keep your password private.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Choose a player name that does not impersonate someone else or expose private information. Guest players receive an automatically assigned Guest number. Guest access is temporary for the current browser tab and does not create a saved account.
Fair play and respect
Help keep every game welcoming and fair:
- Play your own moves. Do not use engines, outside assistance, or coordinated results.
- Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, or share another person’s private information.
- Do not send spam, malicious links, or unlawful content.
- Do not interfere with games, misuse accounts, or attempt unauthorized access.
Access may be restricted for misuse, security issues, or violations of these terms.
Games and results
Public games can be discovered by other players. An unlisted game is accessed through its invite link; anyone you share that link with may be able to join. Player names, completed game records, and account results can appear in profiles, game archives, and the Global Table. Keep invite links and personal information private when appropriate. Any future competition may have additional rules shown with that event.
Content and the Chess4U brand
Only submit content you have the right to share. You allow Chess4U to display your player name, game activity, and messages as needed to run the service. The Chess4U name, logo, and original website materials remain the property of their respective owners. These terms do not transfer ownership of them to you.
Service availability
Chess4U is an evolving service. Features may change, and maintenance, connection problems, or interruptions can affect games and recorded results. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every game will be preserved. Nothing in these terms limits rights or protections that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Privacy and updates
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is used when you play. Changes to these terms will appear on this page with an updated date. Review the current terms when deciding whether to continue using Chess4U.
